If God was worried about the Tower of Babel making it to Heaven, shouldn't he smite NASA?

God wasn't worried about the tower of Babel making it to Heaven. He was upset because the people were trying to be like God and were worshipping the tower. There is no earthly chance that the tower could have reached Heaven, the same as there is absalutely NO earthly chance that NASA could ever possibly find Heaven.
