37 1/2 weeks .. how much longer?

i went to my doc apt friday again i was still only 1cm i came home and my husband and i had thinking it might get things going, after i was bleeding a little dark brown and i think i lost my mucous plug(not sure) at the check up my Doc was very rough while checking me so i wonder if that and could have caused the bleeding.. since then i am having a few contractions here and there bad ones but nothing constant and cramping lower all the time .. this morning i woke up to horrible cramps and he was pivoting from one side to the other back and forth... anything i can do to speed this up???
